Question 1

Can you guarantee marriage?

Accepted Answer

No ethical matchmaker can guarantee marriage, because marriage depends on the feelings, choices, compatibility, and intentions of two people.

What we can guarantee is a serious, confidential and personalized matchmaking effort. We take time to understand what you are looking for, carefully select appropriate candidates, arrange mutually approved introductions, and support the process toward marriage.

Our goal is not simply to introduce people — it is to find a genuinely compatible life partner.

Question 2

How many matches will I receive?

Accepted Answer

NikahCity is not a dating app, so we do not promise a fixed number of profiles or send unsuitable candidates simply to reach a quota.

The number of introductions depends on your criteria, age preferences, location, religion, family expectations, willingness to relocate and other compatibility factors.

We prefer fewer carefully selected introductions rather than many random profiles.

Some clients receive suitable introductions quickly, while very specific searches may require more time.

Question 3

Can I see profiles before paying?

Accepted Answer

You may view a selection of public profiles on our website and through our matchmaking channels.

However, these represent only a portion of our members. Many of our clients choose complete confidentiality and are never displayed publicly.

Full matchmaking access and personalized candidate recommendations begin after registration and membership activation.

Question 4

Are photographs private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Privacy is extremely important to us.

Many members choose to keep their photographs completely private. Private photos are not publicly displayed and are shared with a potential match only when appropriate and with mutual interest.

We also use blurred or protected photographs for selected public profiles.

Question 5

Are members verified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We take verification seriously.

Depending on the membership and circumstances, we may verify identity, age, marital status, education, profession and other relevant information.

We also personally communicate with members to better understand their intentions and whether they are genuinely seeking marriage.

Verification significantly reduces risk, but no matchmaking agency can guarantee every statement made by another person. We therefore encourage both parties and their families to complete their own appropriate due diligence before marriage.

Question 6

Do you accept non-Muslims interested in Islam?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in selected circumstances.

We may work with a non-Muslim person who has a sincere interest in Islam and is genuinely considering a Muslim marriage.

However, we are a Muslim marriage service, not a casual dating platform. Religious expectations are discussed clearly before introductions are arranged.

Question 7

Do you work with converts to Islam?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.

NikahCity works with Muslim converts from many countries and backgrounds.

We understand that converts can sometimes face additional challenges when searching for a spouse, particularly when culture, family expectations and religion become mixed together.

We look at the individual, not simply their ethnic background.

Question 8

Do you help with polygamous marriage?

Accepted Answer

Yes.

NikahCity can assist clients seeking a polygamous marriage where it is approached openly, respectfully and in accordance with Islamic principles and applicable law.

We do not arrange introductions based on deception. A potential spouse must understand the marital situation before proceeding.

Because these searches require additional screening and matchmaking work, different membership conditions or fees may apply.

Question 9

Can you find someone outside your existing database?

Accepted Answer

Yes — and this is one of the important differences between NikahCity and an ordinary matrimonial website.

Our search is not necessarily limited to people already registered in our database.

For suitable memberships, we can conduct a personalized external search or headhunting process, using our international network and private matchmaking channels to look for someone matching your criteria.

This is particularly useful for clients seeking a specific nationality, age group, profession, location or family background.

Question 10

Do you work with clients over 50?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.

There is no age limit on finding companionship, love and marriage.

We work with mature men and women, including people who are divorced, widowed or entering a new chapter of life.

The matchmaking strategy simply changes according to the client's circumstances and expectations.

Question 11

Can my family participate?

Accepted Answer

Yes.

We welcome appropriate family involvement and understand its importance in Muslim marriage.

Parents, guardians or close family members can participate in the process when requested by the client.

Family involvement can begin early or after mutual interest has been established between two candidates.

Question 12

Can I request a specific nationality?

Accepted Answer

Yes.

You can tell us your preferred nationality, ethnicity, country of residence, language, age range, religious practice, education, family situation and other important preferences.

We regularly conduct international and cross-cultural searches.

However, the narrower the criteria, the longer the search may take. Your matchmaker may also suggest compatible candidates slightly outside your original preferences when there is a strong reason to believe the match could work.

The final decision is always yours.

Question 13

What if I don't like an introduction?

Accepted Answer

You are never obligated to accept an introduction.

Before connecting two people, we normally determine whether there is sufficient potential compatibility and mutual interest.

If you feel that someone is not suitable, simply tell your matchmaker. Your feedback helps us understand your preferences better and refine the next search.

Declining a match respectfully is a normal part of professional matchmaking.

Question 14

Are membership fees refundable?

Accepted Answer

Membership fees cover professional matchmaking work, consultation, screening, candidate research, communication and search activity — not the purchase of a guaranteed spouse.

Because matchmaking work begins once a membership is activated, fees are generally non-refundable once the service has started.

Any exceptional situation is reviewed individually and according to the membership terms agreed at registration.

Question 15

How quickly does the search begin?

Accepted Answer

The matchmaking process begins after your application, consultation, required information and membership payment have been completed.

We first create a clear compatibility profile and establish your most important criteria. Your matchmaker can then begin reviewing suitable members and, where applicable, conducting an external search.

We do not rush introductions simply to produce a quick result. The first recommendation is made when we identify someone we genuinely believe deserves your consideration.

Question 16

Can I pause my membership?

Accepted Answer

We understand that personal circumstances can sometimes change.

A temporary pause may be considered in exceptional circumstances and should be discussed with your matchmaker in advance.

Membership periods are designed around an active search, so pauses are not automatic and are handled individually according to the circumstances and membership terms.
